Chocolate, Wine, and Song!!! v2.0
Do you like chocolate? Wine? Singing? If you do, then come join the crowd next month on Sunday afternoon, October 5th. We will be there from 3 until 6 o'clock, so come when you can and stay as long as you like! You can savor all three sessions or just one. We'll gather in the gallery space at Panorama Framing on Grand Avenue in Oakland to hear singers entertain the audience in three sets of song. During each break, go next door and enjoy the handmade chocolates at Michael Mischer Chocolates as well as all the fine wines at Ordinaire Wine Shop & Wine Bar. Last year's event was such fun, we've decided to do it again. It will be even more rewarding for JTVA this year because the proprietor of Ordinaire, Mr. Bradford Taylor, has generously committed to donating 10% of all wine sales - glasses and bottles - to JTVA!
One of our featured singers is the marvelously talented Chelsea Lyons, who was our 1st PlaceTier II winner in this past June's inaugural JTVA Vocal Competition. In addition, she won the Tier II Audience Favorite Award. Watch her winning performances here.
Other JTVA Finalists joining Chelsea in this casual, relaxed afternoon will be the Tier II 3rd place winner, tenor Alex Taite, as well as Tier II Finalist, baritone Stefan Miller. Others raising their voices in song, will be Nick Bang, Adam Chase, Nick Hengl, Elizabeth Hunter-Ashley, Liz O’Neill, Tim Quock and Jamie Sanderson. At the piano, Bruce Haines will play for all these terrific performers who are volunteering their time and energy to help JTVA grow and thrive.
