Give so music can thrive. James Toland Vocal Arts (JTVA) is a non-profit arts organization devoted to supporting and encouraging exceptionally gifted young singers as they prepare to embark on international careers. Since 2014, JTVA has hosted an annual competition weekend featuring an acclaimed vocal exhibition as well as master classes with leading music professionals. The annual vocal competition offers exposure to expert professional judges as well as cash prizes and performance opportunities.
Mission: To encourage and nurture—through competition, education, and performance—the emerging talents of singers who aspire to a professional career in the vocal arts.
Throughout the world, countless people benefit from singing. There is so much that goes into creating and sustaining the music we cherish. From promoting and training talented performers to enriching and entertaining audiences, JTVA does much more than award money. It strengthens and grows the music community by fostering connections, developing a new generation of singers, and inviting audiences to enjoy a shared musical heritage.
Donations to JTVA will:
Provide singers with direct financial support (basic living expenses, coaching, remote work equipment, support for lost income from canceled performances)
Assist singers in developing professional networks by facilitating contacts with industry professionals and institutions
Identify and support future public performance opportunities
Assist singers in documenting and representing their work to other institutions
Give today. Together, we can build a strong future for the vocal arts and the singers who give it life and breath.
JTVA is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal ID 46-1431151).
